A Second Life
Jewelry made from what others forget.
I turn forgotten materials into one of a kind jewelry.
Meet the maker
I started DieSieRingz in 2019, creating jewelry for myself from recycled materials.
What began as a personal creative project slowly grew into a way of working.
In 2024, I started traveling with my van, and that’s when everything changed. I began combining my work with life on the road — collecting materials and creating mainly while I’m traveling, rather than staying in one place in Belgium.
Today, DieSieRingz lives through movement, places, and encounters along the way.
The process
Everything starts on the road.
I travel in my van and look for materials wherever I am — sometimes at local markets in the cities I pass through, sometimes in unexpected places like skateparks. That’s where I first found skateboards that would later become part of my work.
Once I find a piece that speaks to me, I take it back to my van and start the transformation.
There, I clean, cut, shape and refine each material by hand. I try to keep traces of its original life visible, so every piece still carries where it came from.
Nothing is mass-produced. Nothing is identical. Each piece takes time, and every imperfection is part of the story.
Materials
I mainly work with recycled cutlery and skateboards, each chosen for different reasons.
Cutlery is durable, widely available, and made from stainless steel—which means it does not easily tarnish or change when it gets wet. That makes it perfect for jewelry that can be worn every day, even in the shower or while washing your hands.
Skateboards, on the other hand, are chosen for their colors and layered textures. Each board has its own visual history, which becomes part of the design. These pieces are more delicate and require a bit more care when worn.
Both materials already lived a life before becoming jewelry—and I choose to keep that visible in every piece.
The story continues
Every piece is made to be worn, lived with, and continued.
Nothing is finished here — it keeps evolving with the person who wears it.
